Exterior grease cleaning
Restaurant grease goes beyond the kitchen.
Professional restaurant exterior cleaning for grease-heavy areas, using heat, the right cleaning process, and proper containment to clean the places ordinary pressure washing struggles with.

Before
The grease path
Follow the grease outside.
Grease leaves the kitchen on shoes, hand carts, and trash bags. It drips at the dumpster, spills around the used-oil container, settles from the exhaust plume, and gets baked into concrete by sun and traffic. That’s a different problem from dirt, and it needs a different approach.

Why ordinary pressure washing isn’t enough
Grease is not dirt.
A general pressure-washing crew leaves a lighter stain and a surface that’s still slick. Removing restaurant grease takes five things working together.
Heat
Hot water breaks the grease bond. Cold water just moves it around.
The right chemistry
Degreasers matched to the surface and the type of buildup.
Surface knowledge
Concrete, pavers, and painted surfaces each need a different approach.
Containment
Wastewater is controlled instead of washed into the storm drain.
Commercial equipment
Hot-water pressure washing units built for commercial grease work.

Runoff & containment
Cleaning grease shouldn’t move it somewhere else.
Washing a greasy dumpster pad straight into the parking-lot drain doesn’t solve the problem. It moves it somewhere else. Containment is part of every exterior job we do.
01
Contain
We set up to control wastewater at the work area before cleaning starts.
02
Recover
Grease-laden water and residue are collected instead of left to run off.
03
Protect drains
Storm drains near the work area are protected during service.
04
Leave it clean
Cleaning shouldn’t move contamination somewhere else.

Common questions
What exterior restaurant areas can HoodWashers clean?
Our restaurant exterior cleaning covers entryways and sidewalks, drive-thru lanes, dumpster pads and corrals, used-oil and grease containment areas, back-of-house service and loading areas, outdoor dining areas, building exteriors and awnings, and grease-stained concrete and pavers.
Why doesn’t normal pressure washing remove restaurant grease?
Cold-water pressure washing removes surface dirt but leaves the grease bond intact. The surface looks lighter for a few weeks, then the stain comes back. Restaurant grease needs heat and the right degreaser for the surface.
Do you clean dumpster pads?
Yes. It’s one of our most requested jobs. We degrease the pad, the corral, and the surrounding concrete.
Do you clean used-oil collection areas?
Yes. Areas around used-oil containers collect drips and spills, and we clean them as part of exterior service.
How do you manage wastewater and runoff?
We contain and recover wastewater during cleaning and protect nearby storm drains, so grease isn’t simply washed somewhere else. Keeping fats, oils, and grease out of drains is a common focus for local wastewater programs (see the EPA’s guidance on fats, oils, and grease).
Can exterior cleaning be scheduled with our hood service?
Yes. Exterior cleaning can be coordinated with hood and exhaust cleaning and your other HoodWashers services, often in the same overnight visit.
Can you service multiple locations?
Yes. We run repeat exterior programs for multi-location operators across our service area: UT, CO, OR, WA, ID, CA, NV, AZ, MT, WY, and NM.
